Ulla Silkens (C. reginae x flavum) The tallest among the listed hybrids, can grow to 60 cm (23") high. Flower colour variable. Lip colour changes according to spring temperatures, more intensive if cool and paler if warm. Because of the hairy leaves this hybrid can stand more direct sun than the others. The planting site may be damp, for example at the edge of a pond. Feed well. |

reginae Showy Lady's Slipper. A good plant for the beginner, it soon multiplies, producing stems of 2 to 3 feet each with 1 to 2 flowers per stem. Leaves are light green and slightly hairy. The flower is white with a deep pink slipper. Flowers mid-June to early July. |
